The NFLPA has a weekly award they hand out called Community MVP, and the latest winner is an interesting one. Free agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick received the award this week for his work “empowering underserved communities through donations and grassroots outreach.” He received his award a week after J.J. Watt received the award for his work raising money for victims of Hurricane Harvey.
