With respect to Coach Pelosi, Jimmy Garoppolo most definitely should not have taken the sack on the play she's referring to.
On third down and 13 with just over a minute left to play, Garoppolo was swarmed by the Los Angeles Rams' pass rush and retreated 12 yards into the backfield. After unsuccessfully trying to escape, he flung the ball in the direction of running back JaMycal Hasty, who deflected it into the air and into the hands of Rams defender Travin Howard, who came down with the game-sealing interception.
