The San Francisco 49ers defense gave up an ugly performance to the New Orleans Saints in Week 9, but don’t expect any changes to the coaching staff for the time being. After the game, Chip Kelly was asked if he was considering any changes in light of the performance, but he said there was no plan on any changes this week to the defensive coaching staff.
Kelly’s most telling comment of the day was also the most obvious answer he could have offered. At one point he was asked about DuJuan Harris’ performance. He said Harris did some good things, but the running backs need to do a better job not fumbling the ball.
