Well, looks like someone else wants to give Jordan Devey an opportunity. The San Francisco 49ers waived the guard last week, and the Kansas City Chiefs have claimed him off waivers. The NFL transaction wire came out Monday afternoon, and Devey was the only one of the four 49ers releases to be claimed off waivers.
I can only assume the Chiefs are absolutely desperate for some offensive line depth. Devey was not good at all for the 49ers last year, eventually losing his job to Andrew Tiller. It appears the Chiefs starting guards are currently Laurent Duvernay-Tardif and Zach Fulton.
