The Ole Miss Rebels suffered a brutal loss this weekend, as the university announced that quarterback Chad Kelly tore his ACL and lateral meniscus against Georgia Southern. Kelly’s season ends with him having thrown for 2,758 yards, 19 touchdowns, and eight interceptions in nine games this season. He entered the season getting significant hype for the 2017 NFL Draft. His decision-making, both on and off the field have hurt his draft stock, but there are plenty of fans of his raw skills.
We wish Kelly the best of luck in his recovery. An injury at this point in the season does not mean he cannot play next season, but he has a lot of work ahead of him to get the knee rehabbed and back to 100 percent.
