In the latest CBA update, the date for the players to vote has been pushed back from March 12 to Saturday, March 14. According to Albert Breer, players wanted the union to produce a document comparing the 2011 CBA to the current proposal. The union wants players to have time to look at everything, given it’s a 10-year extension. The NFL is evaluating the franchise/transition tag deadline now as well. The current deadline is this Thursday at 1 p.m. PT. The important reason is teams can tag multiple players under Final League Year rules. If the new CBA is ratified, the team would have to rescind one tag.
