Cornerback Jimmie Ward could miss multiple games with a quadriceps injury he sustained in a 37-18 loss at Seattle on Sunday.
The 49ers announced Ward, a 2014 first-round pick, is week-to-week with quadriceps strain. That diagnosis is relatively good news for the team considering the non-contact injury initially left Ward writing in pain after he fell down on kickoff coverage.
Ward was replaced by Keith Reaser after he exited, although defensive coordinator Jim O’Neil said today he didn’t know if Reaser or rookie Rashard Robinson would start Sunday against the Cowboys.
