It is looking rather unlikely that San Francisco 49ers running back Carlos Hyde will play later today when the team hosts the New Orleans Saints. ESPN’s Adam Schefter and NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport both reported it was unlikely. Schefter tweeted Hyde would be a pre-game decision, “but it does not sound promising.” Rapoport tweeted Hyde, “needs another week to heal. It would be a major surprise if he plays today.”
Hyde suffered a sprained AC joint in Week 6 against the Buffalo Bills. He was a DNP at practice in Week 7 and ruled out fairly quickly.
