Cardinals Carson Palmer works on mechanics

When Colin Kaepernick’s former college coach at Nevada, Chris Ault, suggested that Kaepernick’s accuracy was suffering from bad mechanics, Kaepernick and 49ers offensive coordinator Geep Chryst scoffed. Ault said Kaepernick’s elbow was too high, and Chryst joking told Kaepernick to keep a towel under his arm as he threw. Both Kaepernick and Chryst said that working on mechanics was for the off-season.

But not so for Carson Palmer of the NFC West division leading Cardinals. After completing 20 of 29 passes for 275 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in beating Baltimore Monday night, Palmer told the ESPN post-game crew that mechanics were a huge part of his week.
