Can 49ers disrupt QB Rosen, end seven-game skid to Cardinals?

SANTA CLARA – The last time Solomon Thomas came across Josh Rosen on the football field, it was in the backfield of a 2016 Stanford-UCLA game at the Rose Bowl.

Thomas and a Cardinal teammate invaded the pocket. Rosen tried to escape. The ball popped free. Thomas picked up the gift and returned it 42 yards for a game-ending touchdown in Stanford’s 22-13 win.

Thomas soon headed to the pros, drafted No. 3 overall last year by the 49ers. Rosen waited until this year’s draft, going No. 10 to the Arizona Cardinals.
