SANTA CLARA — The Atlanta Falcons couldn’t cover George Kittle.
The San Francisco 49ers couldn’t cover Julio Jones.
Both players had chances to lock up a victory for their teams on Sunday at Levi’s Stadium, but it was Jones who had the keys in his hands last.
“We needed to win it and Julio Jones did his thing,” Falcons tight end Austin Hooper said.
As the game clock ticked under five seconds, Jones ran directly toward 49ers safety Jimmie Ward. The six-time Pro Bowler stepped inside the one-yard line, cut to his left and caught a laser from quarterback Matt Ryan.
