Bruce Miller is good, so why not play him?

Bruce Miller, welcome to the offense. The 49ers fullback, once a staple of the team’s huddle during the halcyon days of the Jim Harbaugh era, has been largely absent in the Jim Tomsula-Geep Chryst offense.
Instead of Miller playing the role of H-back and fullback, and even tight end, he has been relegated to the sideline while players like Vance McDonald take his place.

But in Sunday’s game, the 49ers used more “21” personnel, which means two backs, one tight end and two wide receivers. It’s your standard pro set offense, and group was used by Bill Walsh almost exclusively because an offense can either run or pass from that set.
