The San Francisco 49ers have been embroiled in contract extension talks this offseason with star wideout Brandon Aiyuk, who is currently scheduled to play the 2024 season on the fifth-year option.
While several high-end receiver deals have occurred over the past few months, Aiyuk and the 49ers have not come to an agreement yet, but the two sides were apparently close to a deal back in April.
Speaking on 95.7 The Game this week, Aiyuk’s wide receiver coach T.J. Houshmandzadeh thought that there was a chance he could’ve signed a deal a month and a half ago when the wideout was more optimistic, but things have turned the opposite direction since.
