At least for the moment, Brandon Aiyuk is still a San Francisco 49er. Which means the star wide receiver, like every other player on the team, had to report for the first day of training camp on Tuesday.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport broke the news on Tuesday morning that Aiyuk would be present at training camp. Under the league’s current bargaining agreement, players get fined for every mandatory training camp day they miss.
Following an offseason of discontent, Aiyuk requested to be traded just a week ago, on July 16.
