Bob St. Clair, 49ers Legend, Dies at 84

Bob St. Clair, the San Francisco 49ers legendary and Hall of Fame offensive tackle passed away Monday night, April 20, 2015, at 84 years of age.

Bob St. Clair played on some superb 49ers squads in the 1950s, having played for the University of San Francisco previously, including an undefeated season in 1951. Drafted in 1953 by the 49ers, St. Clair was on top of the league at his position during the 1950s, having earned All-NFL, first or second team, nine times, was selected to five Pro Bowls, and was 49ers captain for three straight seasons (1957-1959).
