A Bills fan’s meager attempt to stop a 49ers field goal came up way short early in Sunday’s snow game in Buffalo.
San Francisco drove 48 yards down the field in eight plays in the team’s first series of the game, and was forced to kick a field goal from the Bills’ 15-yard line. Second-year kicker Jake Moody kicked the ball through the uprights to give the Niners a 3-0 lead in the first quarter.
Astute observers noted that when the ball was one its way, a conspicuous snowball was launched from the crowd on a direct path to the trajectory of Moody’s kick.
