Bears lose ILB Danny Trevathan for the season

The San Francisco 49ers travel to face the Chicago Bears this weekend, and Chicago is more and more banged up as each week progresses. The Bears lost quarterback Jay Cutler to a potential season-ending shoulder surgery last week, and this week, they have lost inside linebacker Danny Trevathan to a torn patellar tendon. For those who don’t know about that tendon, it’s important and he is done for the year.

Trevathan was the Bears’ second leading tackler before the injury, just behind linebacker Jerrell Freeman, and just ahead of safety Adrian Amos. The Bears defense has been playing much better this season under defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, but the losses are adding up.
