The 49ers have allowed a 100-yard rusher for the fourth straight game for the first time since at least 1960.
Tonight, Cardinals running back David Johnson became the latest to top the century mark with a 23-yard run in the third quarter. The 49ers entered the game having allowed three straight 100-yard rushers for the first time since 2004.
According to ProFootballReference.com, which has full box scores dating to 1960, the 49ers hadn’t allowed four straight 100-yard rushers in their previous 56 seasons.
