Even as it was announced that Colin Kaepernick will be inducted in his high school’s athletic hall of fame, the national discourse included educators spewing hateful rhetoric against the San Francisco 49ers quarterback-turned-social justice advocate.
The hall of fame ceremony will be held Nov. 3, according to TV station KCRA in Sacramento. Eight other alumni of Turlock’s Pitman High School will be inducted with Kaepernick. It was not immediately known whether or not Kaepernick will attend the ceremony.
Sharing the public square with the hall of fame news were astonishing hot takes from school officials tasked with caring for and molding our children.
