Arizona Cardinals add first female assistant coach in NFL history

The Arizona Cardinals made history on Monday as they announced the addition of the first female assistant coach in NFL history. The team has added Jen Welter as a preseason/training camp intern, assisting with the linebackers coaches. She previously coached for the Texas Revolution of the Indoor Football League, coaching the linebackers and special teams. Prior to that she made history when she played one game with the Revolution as a running back. She joins six other interns assisting the team in training camp.

Peter King chatted with Bruce Arians about the hiring.
