Back to the San Francisco 49ers Newsfeed

Are the 49ers primed for a quick turnaround in 2025?

The San Francisco 49ers are headed to the offseason, as they finished 6-11 in 2024, leading them to a last-place finish in the NFC West and the No. 11 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.

It was a disappointing season for San Francisco, who couldn’t muster enough late-game success in close losses, while dealing with a barrage of major injuries.

Now, they look toward the 2025 offseason, where the first order of business will be figuring out a new defensive coordinator after an up-and-down campaign from first-year coordinator Nick Sorensen.

Then, it comes to roster construction where the 49ers have a prime avenue to add top-tier talent from the draft, while also potentially having some room for specific free agent signings.
