It’s a new year, but the same story for 49ers defensive lineman Arik Armstead after four training-camp practices: He’s injured.
After missing 18 games the past two seasons, Armstead has sustained what head coach Kyle Shanahan termed a “somewhat” serious hamstring injury and is expected to miss multiple weeks.
In 2016, Armstead sustained a torn labrum in training camp that limited him to eight games before was placed on injured reserve.
