As if the San Francisco 49ers had not undergone enough changes over the course of this tumultuous offseason, they have now traded their longest-tenured player, Punter Andy Lee, to the Cleveland Browns in exchange for a seventh-round draft pick in 2017 (not even 2016!).
This trade should not come as a complete surprise, as the 49ers did draft a punter, Bradley Pinion, in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft, but with as much as Andy Lee has meant to this franchise over the years, especially in the dark days under Mike Nolan, when Andy Lee was one of the few consistently good things happening for the 49ers.
