It was quite apparent from the film that the 49ers were missing a lot of tackles and the numbers bear that out: through the first three weeks of the season, the 49ers led the league in missed tackles with 43, per Jeff Deeney. 43 missed tackles in three weeks. An average of 14 missed tackles per match. Abysmal.
