Good news out of the DC area. Washington quarterback Alex Smith is finally back home after multiple surgeries on his fractured leg. Smith contracted an infection after one of the surgeries and it has been a process getting through it. His wife, Liz, posted this on Instagram Sunday morning.
Smith’s NFL future is still in doubt due to the injury, but it’s great to see him out of the hospital and back home. The key at this point is just rehabbing the leg and getting back up and around again. If he gets back on the football field, great.
