The NFL announced the Players of the Month in each conference. Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback and now Minnesota Vikings signal-caller Sam Darnold was named the NFC’s Offensive Player of the Month. Detroit Lions edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson was the Defensive Player of the Month.
Hutchinson racked up 6.5 sacks, six tackles for loss, and a forced fumble, and, per NFL Pro, led the league in September in pressures at 25.
The difference between Hutchinson's and San Francisco 49ers' star pass rusher Nick Bosa’s box score is that Hutchinson finished his sack opportunities, whereas Bosa landed at the heels of the quarterback.
