San Francisco 49ers safety Adrian Colbert was ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks, but will likely be recovered from thumb surgery in time for the team’s next game. There was some hope that he could play against Seattle, but he isn’t ready in time.
The player himself took to Twitter to announce his intentions to return in Week 13 against the Chicago Bears.
“This is tough, but I’ll be ready next week,” Colbert Tweeted, followed by the “100” emoji.
Really, the fact that a guy like Colbert missing time is worthy of multiple articles here underscores how promising his first start against the New York Giants actually was.
