Acker leads 49ers in 2015 performance-based pay

Cornerback Kenneth Acker, who started 14 games and saw action on 62.44 percent of the team’s defensive snaps, was the 49ers’ top earner in the NFL’s Performance Base Pay fund.

Acker collected an additional $273,631, while linebacker Aaron Lynch and guard Andrew Tiller received $197,241 and $179,846 in bonuses, according to figures released Monday by the NFL Management Council.

The league pool was $3,802,500 to be distributed per game. The money does not count against the salary cap.

Under the system, players are awarded a supplemental form of compensation based on a comparison of their playing time to salary.
