-During the second day of 49ers’ practice, I tried to focus mainly on the linebackers. Here are some conclusions.
-NaVorro Bowman’s instincts are there. His innate feel for when to shoot the gap and when to hold his ground appears to be as flawless as ever. His movement is also good, but he’s not at top speed yet.
-Marcus Rush, an undrafted outside rush linebacker from Michigan State, shows a good burst and good feel for pass rush. On Sunday, he appeared to be ahead of third-round pick Eli Harold. During individual pass rush drills, Rush spun away from fellow rookie Trent Brown with out Brown touching him.
