Free agency cost the San Francisco 49ers two standout cornerbacks who were among the team leaders in interceptions in 2014.

Defensive backs Perrish Cox and Chris Culliver combined for nine interceptions last season. Their individual contributions to the secondary were a major factor behind the 49ers’ No. 5-ranked defense against the passing game with just 3,531 yards allowed through the air.
Replacing this production will be one of the critical elements San Francisco has to figure out entering the season.
The No. 1 cornerback will probably wind up being Tramaine Brock.
