Kenneth Acker made an impression last training camp as a percocious cover man, emerging from the sixth round of the 2014 draft from SMU. Acker consistently impressed in practice and also performed well in preseason games before getting shut down for the season with a foot injury.
Now Acker is back and competing in a crowded field for play at cornerback. We wanted to take a closer look at Acker before and during Tuesday’s practice.
Unfortunately, I disrupted Acker’s routine on Tuesday, which includes a nap after morning meetings, a walk-through practice and lunch. Nevertheless, Acker was personable during the interview
