The 49ers kick off their preseason schedule with a matchup in Tennessee with the Titans. From all indications, the 49ers will not play all their starters, but there are plenty of storylines and players to monitor on Saturday.
Dominick Puni’s playing time
Throughout training camp, Puni has taken the majority of first-team reps at right guard. With Spencer Burford and Jon Feliciano either injured or working their way back from injuries, the rookie offensive lineman can state his case to start.
Offensive line coach Chris Foerster is pushing for Puni to see extended action on Saturday and believes this is the best course of action for evaluation.
