The writing was on the wall all week for San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings. On Friday, he missed his third practice in a row with a hip injury and was officially ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Jennings's injury isn’t long-term. Kyle Shanahan hoped Jennings could return next week: “No, it isn’t long-term. I hope he’ll be ready for next week. He was close this week. Hoping to get him back next week.”
Kickers Jake Moody (ankle) and Matthew Wright (shoulder) were also absent from practice. Wright will be placed on the Injured Reserve.
