The concussion 49ers wide receiver Marquise Goodwin sustained in an overtime loss to the Cardinals on Sunday was his fourth diagnosed concussion in less than 14 months and his fifth since 2014.
Last year, Goodwin, 26, sustained three concussions in a two-month span in his final season with the Bills, the first during a training-camp practice on Aug. 23, 2016.
Goodwin also had a concussion against the Jets on Sept. 16, but didn’t miss a game. His final concussion in 2016 came against the Dolphins on Oct. 23, and caused him to miss a game. Goodwin also missed a game with a concussion in September 2014.
