The San Francisco 49ers sent representatives down to Southern Methodist University this week to work out a pair of offensive linemen, according to Matt Barrows. The team worked out center Evan Brown and defensive line convert Mason Gentry.
Brown stands 6’2 and weighs 307 pounds. He had a 36-inch vertical leap and a 4.97-second 40-yard. Brown said at SMU’s Pro Day that he was hoping to show off his athleticism, which he had heard was questioned a bit. He talked about his versatility having spent some time at guard along with center, getting two years experience at each position.
