For those hoping the San Francisco 49ers would get back injured wide receivers Trent Taylor and Jalen Hurd at some point this season, sorry. It’s not looking up, as far as either player returning this season.
Taylor (foot) and Hurd (back) both started the regular season on the active roster, then only placed on injured reserve with the possible designation to return after eight weeks.
On Wednesday, head coach Kyle Shanahan spoke to the media and provided some updates regarding Taylor and Hurd’s statuses.
“Not as much as there was earlier,” Shanahan answered when asked about both players.
