Inside linebacker Reuben Foster wasn’t made available to speak with reporters Wednesday, but his 49ers coaches were happy to speak for him.
Six days after Foster returned to the team following an offseason marked by legal issues, defensive coordinator Robert Saleh was among those who made a point to highlight Foster’s qualities off the field.
“We’re all excited,” Saleh said of Foster’s return. “The whole organization matches his enthusiasm. And it’s not just because of Reuben the player but Reuben the person. For those who don’t know him and don’t have the privilege to know him, they really don’t understand what a great human being he actually is.
