The 49ers preseason begins today on the road as they face the Tennessee Titans. The 49ers had a travel day on Friday, so they got a bit of rest after the grueling days of training camp.
49ers offensive line coach Chris Forester said Puni will be playing an extended amount today. Given how briefly we’ll see any of the starters, this is a game to see how Puni works out in his first (preseason) game.
The offensive line itself will be full of backups due to injuries and Trent Williams’ contract holdout. Since it’s preseason, clubs aren’t required to provide an inactive list of players.
