The San Francisco 49ers running backs mustered up a season-low 28 rushing yards on 18 carries in Week 10. 49ers starting RB Carlos Hyde and complementary RB DuJuan Harris both had 14 rushing yards each. That’s just not good enough. However, it wasn’t all their fault. When evaluating the run-game, the Cardinals were clearly stacking the box. Too many times over a Cardinals defensive player would shoot the gap untouched allowing a free-pass just seconds off that mesh-point (hand-off between quarterback/running back).
I always say, a running back is only as good as his offensive line, and the line struggled generating any type of push.
