If you’re a fan of NFL turnovers, then Week 12’s matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers may or may not be for you.
Wait, what?
Let’s just say this: Neither team is particularly great, defensively, at taking the ball away. In fact, both the Niners and Bucs rank dead last and next to last in defensive takeaways, respectively, with five and six.
On a positive note for San Francisco, at least Tampa Bay’s turnover differential is much, much worse. The Buccaneers, amid a quarterbacking carousel between Jameis Winston and Ryan Fitzpatrick, have turned the ball over 29 times this season — highest in the league — which makes their turnover differential minus-23.
