The San Francisco 49ers kick off Week 1 of the 2019 NFL regular season with a cross-country trip to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this afternoon at Raymond James Stadium.
The Bucs are coming off a last-place finish in the NFC South after going 5-11 in the regular season last year. Tampa Bay won three of their four exhibition games during the 2019 preseason, but particularly struggled to protect quarterback Jameis Winston and his fellow QBs, who were sacked a total of 19 times.
Today’s game will be will be one of three “late games” broadcast live on FOX.
