The San Francisco 49ers are valuable. Very, very valuable.
Last year Forbes estimated the 49ers value at $1.6 billion, 22nd among sports franchises worldwide. When the next NFL valuations were released months later, the 49ers value had soared 69% to $2.7 billion, fifth highest in the league.
These NFL valuations have now been combined with valuations of sports franchises from leagues around the globe, placing the 49ers in a tie for tenth overall with the Los Angeles Lakers.
How did the 49ers value jump so drastically in a year? Put simply, the answer is the jewel of the York Family’s eye: Levi’s Stadium.
