The Bay Area’s remaining NFL team is making its case to East Bay fans looking for a local club now that the Raiders have left town again.
The 49ers’ argument is pretty clear: “We’re still here.”
Heading into their season opener Sunday, the reigning NFC champion Niners unveiled their “Faithful to the Bay” slogan and marketing campaign, a thinly veiled swipe at their former regional rivals from the AFC. Of course, it is a natural fit with a fanbase known as the Faithful.
Former Niners Pro Bowl linebacker and current team vice president Keena Turner narrated the team’s hype video for the new campaign, which it released Tuesday.
