I don't know what this means for Daniel Kilgore, but given Marcus Martin's struggles, the 49ers need to consider alternatives.
We learned earlier today that the San Francisco 49ers tried out running back Pierre Thomas on Monday. It turns out they also tried out center Samson Satele on Monday, according to Pro Football Talk. The 49ers have not signed either player as of yet.
The decision to work out a center is certainly an intriguing one. Marcus Martin has struggled tremendously this season. Daniel Kilgore is eligible to return to practice, but there is no word yet on when the team will open his practice window.
