The San Francisco 49ers traded for Denver Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders on Tuesday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
In exchange, the Niners gave up a third- and fourth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, Schefter reported. The Niners also received a 2020 fifth-rounder in the deal.
Sanders, a two-time Pro Bowler, has 30 catches and 367 receiving yards in the 2019 season. His contract expires at the end of the 2019 season.
"I expect the 49ers to end up with Emmanuel Sanders in the next week," CBS insider Jason La Canfora tweeted early Tuesday morning, foreshadowing the team's acquisition.
