Well, that was a bit of a stinker, San Francisco 49ers.
After running through a gauntlet of three straight opponents with .800-plus winning percentages, the Niners returned home to face NFC South’s cellar-dwelling Atlanta Falcons. And after scoring 48 points in a victory over the New Orleans Saints a week before, the 49ers offense failed to find a gear in the followup.
San Francisco lost yet another last-second game to the Falcons 29-22, although the final score is slightly inflated by a meaningless Atlanta touchdown, as the Niners attempted a last-ditch effort on the final kickoff.
