SANTA CLARA – After losing seven of his first 10 games this season as 49ers head coach, Jim Tomsula was asked Wednesday for the first time about his job security beyond this season.
Tomsula said he has not spoken with 49ers ownership or management about their thoughts on his status for next season.
“No, we haven’t had conversations about any of that,” Tomsula said. “Just to your point right there – we’re in a performance-based business. And all of us in it get it. So I don’t think or work that way. Just keep on moving. (My) long-term goal is Sunday.
