According to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the San Francisco 49ers are meeting with free-agent linebacker Korey Toomer on Wednesday.
The 6-foot-2, 234-pound Toomer spent the last two years with the San Diego/Los Angeles Chargers, appearing in 28 games while starting 16 during that stretch. He also had 78 tackles and two sacks with the Chargers as well.
Toomer was initially selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the fifth round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He spent his rookie season on the practice squad and 2013 on the reserve/non-football injury list before moving on to stints with the Dallas Cowboys, St.
