A Seattle sports apparel store across from the Seahawks’ stadium has adjusted its marketing strategy in the face of a 49ers fan takeover ahead of Thursday’s game between the NFC West rivals.
The Pro Image Sports in downtown Seattle, less than a five-minute walk from Lumen Field, had five Niners jerseys prominently displayed in the store’s window: Patrick Willis, Deion Sanders, Nick Bosa, Christian McCaffrey and Talanoa Hufanga.
The San Francisco Standard’s 49ers reporter, David Lombardi, captured the scene on social media, including what he describes as “a lot of red here in Seattle.”
Given that Pro Image is a national chain of sports apparel stores, it makes sense that it would have jerseys of a rival team in general, particularly when it’s Hall of Famers like Willis and Sanders or current big-name stars like Bosa and McCaffrey.
