The worst fears for the San Francisco 49ers and star Christian McCaffrey may have been realized, as the star running back exited Sunday’s snowy game in Buffalo with a non-contact injury.
McCaffrey, who missed the first eight weeks of the 49ers season with bilateral Achilles tendonitis, received a pitch going to his right early in the second quarter and immediately pulled up limping, then going down to the field to avoid being tackled.
